Plug and Play Insurance: How Loxa Conquered Shopify

Plug and Play Insurance: How Loxa Conquered Shopify

Loxa's Shopify integration gets retailers live in as little as 48 hours. Now on 30+ stores across furniture, eyewear, and tools, with in-store POS support too.

Where are products being sold?

When Loxa first set out on its mission to offer insurance wherever products are sold, one of the first questions to ask is - where are products being sold?

Shopify is the one of the most popular eCommerce platforms globally, hosting over 5 million active websites in 2025, and its user-friendly interface makes it the perfect choice for both retailers and developers - so it seemed like a natural place to start.

We worked closely with our early adopters to refine our app, as the most important thing to us is that retailers are as happy with our software as we are, and the result is an app that fits seamlessly into the product display page like many popular finance providers.

A Smooth Integration

Because of the nature of Shopify’s block-based site builder, our application can easily integrate with custom themes with minimal development time - the plug and play nature that has made the platform so popular extends to Loxa as well, with some retailers going live in as little as 48 hours.

Once our application was built, we didn’t stop there - we’re constantly looking for ways to improve our app to not only improve our attachment rate, but also to create a better user experience for our retailers and our customers alike.

Customisable Display Methods

We can now offer our retailers two distinct ways of offering insurance on their site - a drop-down menu or a pop-up upon clicking the Add to Cart button. We want to create a solution for every site’s individual needs, and that best suits the retailer’s branding.

Our Shopify Milestones

In July 2025 we launched our Shopify Point of Sale integration which allowed retailers to bring our Shopify app into their physical stores for the first time, with several retailers already taking the option to do so.

As of August 2025, Loxa is installed on over 30 Shopify stores across Furniture, Eyewear and Tools, with many more discussions happening for launches in the near future, including in our upcoming Electronics and Jewellery schemes.
