How OWN Furniture Grew Protection Policy Sales 18x with Enhanced Product-Page UX

OWN Furniture set out to own every part of the customer experience, and protection was the missing piece. After Loxa refined how protection appears on the product page, monthly policy sales grew 18x, on the same store and the same traffic.

Owning every part of the experience

OWN Furniture's philosophy is simple: make your house your own. In practice that means owning every part of the shopping experience. The ranges they design and import themselves. The assembly. The delivery. The customer service that gets things sorted when someone needs it. The team had built all of it, piece by piece, with a reputation for taking the stress out of buying furniture.

Protection was the one part they could not offer themselves. Customers were investing in pieces they would live with for years, with no simple way to cover them against the accidents of everyday life. For a brand that prides itself on looking after people from browse to delivery and beyond, that was the missing piece of the puzzle. OWN wanted to close it.

Live, but not yet working hard enough

OWN partnered with Loxa to offer protection as an add-on on their Shopify store, presented on the product page as customers browse and decide. The appetite was clear from the start. The first policy sold within two hours of going live in May 2025.

Through the rest of the year OWN kept building, expanding the catalogue into outdoor furniture to meet seasonal demand. Protection was live and selling, but it was quiet, a handful of policies a month. Loxa was watching that closely. The data showed protection was doing far less than the store was capable of, and leaving it as it was would have meant leaving revenue on the table for OWN. Rather than integrate and move on, Loxa went back to the detail: how protection was being offered, and how to make it work harder for the customer and the business.

The change that made it perform

Loxa refined how protection is offered to customers, so it appears naturally at the moment they are choosing a piece, clear, well-placed and easy to say yes to. Nothing changed about OWN's store or their products. What changed was the protection experience itself.

The effect was immediate and it held. Policy sales climbed from a handful a month to over 100, and stayed there, peaking at 120. That is an 18x increase in monthly policy sales, on the same store, the same catalogue and the same traffic. Every policy is attached to a core sale, with no added work for the team.

Behind the scenes, nothing got heavier. Each confirmed sale issues a policy automatically. The customer's cover starts once their furniture is delivered. Claims are handled end to end by Loxa, keeping OWN's team focused on selling furniture. This was not a launch spike that faded. It was the difference between protection being present and protection being offered well.

Early Impact

18x growth in monthly policy sales after the protection experience was refined

Over 100 policies a month, peaking at 120, sustained for six months from February to July 2026

550+ protection policies issued since launch

First policy within two hours of going live

Protection is now one of the store's most consistent monthly performers, running with no added work for OWN's team.

What This Means for Furniture Retailers

In furniture, customers invest in pieces they keep for years, and they buy from retailers they trust to look after them. Offering protection is part of a complete experience. But offering it is only half the work. What made the difference for OWN was not switching protection on. It was having a partner who stayed involved after go-live, watched the numbers, and kept refining how protection was offered until it worked effortlessly, for customers and for the business.

That is how a quiet add-on becomes one of the most consistent lines in the business. Rowen Homes saw the same pattern on the same Shopify build, with policy sales up 90% over a comparable period. Whatever platform you sell on, Loxa integrates cleanly and scales with you. Find out how offering product protection can help your business. Book a demo.

"We design and import our own furniture, we handle assembly, delivery, all of it. The one thing we couldn't give customers ourselves was protection. Loxa didn't just switch it on and leave. They watched how it performed and kept working at it until it genuinely delivered for us. Now if something happens to a piece, the customer is looked after, and it's become a real part of the business. That's the experience we always wanted to offer."
